Fossil Creek is a family owned Tree Farm + Garden Center located on 8 beautiful acres in north Fort Worth. The Haven, is the boutique storefront of Fossil Creek, where we strive to provide a unique customer shopping experience, with our mission to: inspire, educate, and serve our customers.

The Haven not only serves as the first and last impression of Fossil Creek greeting customers and directing them in their garden/landscape projects, offering customers a cold drink or a hot cup of coffee, it has been thoughtfully curated with nature inspired home décor, inspirational gifts, and house plants. The Haven is often referred to as “my happy place” or “the best kept secret in Fort Worth.”

Fossil Creek has been named in the Top 100 Garden Centers in North America since 2019 and has been voted a Fort Worth favorite for many years.

Job Overview

The Haven Retail Manager/Customer Experience Manager is responsible for inspiring and educating a team of Brand Ambassadors to execute the Fossil Creek mission to inspire, educate and serve every customer that crosses our bridges and enters The Haven.

The ideal candidate has a passion for people, both customers, as well as team members, a love of plants, creating a beautiful environment, and great sense of humor is a must! This position works directly with the Chief Vision Officer in executing and maintaining the “family owned feel.”

Job Details

· Leads day-to-day operations and team management of The Haven

· Assists in recruiting and onboarding of Brand Ambassadors (Sales Associates)

· Leads the team development through training and feedback

· Maintains the team schedule to ensure full shifts

· Implements and maintains visual merchandising displays that creatively show products and drive sales

· Oversees the store’s cleanliness, organization, and display of products

· Ensures the timely restocks of in-store product selection and product information packets

· Keeps backstock organized and ready to move to in-store displays

· Monitors inventory to ensure products and supplies stay in stock and assists with reorders

· Oversees the check-in of shipments and the organization and tagging of products upon their arrival

· Welcomes and engages with customers throughout their shopping experience

· Helps serve customers and sell products by uncovering their needs and presenting options

· Assists with social media content creation by taking photos and creating Instagram Stories (preferred but not required)

· Assists with ideas of events and marketing ideas to serve our team, customers and community


· Retail Management Experience (Required)

· Customer Service Experience (Required)

· Boutique or Small Shop Retail Experience (Required)

· Merchandising Experience (Preferred)

· Indoor Plant Knowledge (Preferred)

· Social Media Experience (Preferred)

· Full-Time Position

· Availability to work Monday through Saturday shifts (Saturday shift required)

· Ability to lift 50lbs

· Ability to walk or maneuver around the store for 6+ hours per shifts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per month
