The Octopus Agave grows best in poor soils and dry to average moisture. It is deer resistant, drought tolerant, and urban pollution tolerant. Little maintenance is required to tend for the plant. Avoid overwatering.

With its gray-green leaves twisting and twirling, the Octopus Agave is aptly named. Its dense to the ground unique appearance makes for a dramatic accent plant. It makes a great addition for rock and alpine gardens, but also makes for an interesting container plant.
