The Splendida Agave is also known as the Center-Strip Agave an the Thorncrest Century Plant. Its leaves can grow to be 7 inches long and 2 inches wide. Along the margins are bold white teeth-like spines. In the center, there is a distinct lighter band that can be seen on both sides of the leaf.

Slow to grow, the Sharkskin Agave is a small plant that requires little to no maintenance. When working around this plant it is a good idea to wear gloves, as it is a very sharp plant. It has a preference for dry to average soil that is well-drained.
