This popular ornamental grass has an upright growth habit that allow for privacy screen for residential areas, border of a garden bed, parks and open spaces, as an accent, or even by the pool! Medium green foliage stands upright and is clumping. At taller heights it arches, cream and purple flowers on full display in the Spring and reddish-brown to golden panicles summer through fall and prefers a sunny location. Tolerates poor soils. It is tolerant of the heat and cold.
