Josh and Terra Richards are the hearts behind Fossil Creek, a family-owned and operated tree farm, nursery, and landscaping service. Since 2011, their mission has been simple: To use their God-given talents and passions to inspire, educate, and serve others in their community.

Fossil Creek is a family-owned and operated tree farm, nursery, garden center, home store, and landscaping business located on 8.5 beautiful acres in north Fort Worth. Josh and Terra Richards, husband and wife of 20+ years, purchased the property and business in 2011.

Their entrepreneurial spirit and creative passion drove them to transform Fossil Creek into so much more than a tree farm. Josh, a third-generation business owner in the Fort Worth area, grew up playing in his grandparents’ small grocery store on Boat Club Road. Another Fort Worth native, Terra grew up watching her Dad operate a successful drywall business with care and compassion for both his employees and customers.

Terra and Josh seek to inspire, educate, and serve others using their God-given talents and passions for business. They bring this mission and purpose to every element of Fossil Creek Tree Farm with their complementary strengths and interests. Josh then travels to east Texas to hand-select the best trees while Terra and her team create inspiring designs, curate unique pottery pieces, and plan inspiring educational events for the community.

We truly believe everyone has something to gain from integrating more of nature’s beauty into their environment, whether it’s in the form of a house plant, a shade tree, or a total landscaping overhaul.
