Red Hot Poker Kniphofia 'Poco Red' forms compact mounds of grassy foliage and long stems of bright, coral-red bloom clusters that are loved by hummingbirds. Kniphofia 'Poco Red' is a dwarf variety that is very long blooming, starting in midsummer and continuing into mid autumn. 'Poco Red' is good for cutting, in containers and in the rock garden. Deciduous.

Kniphofia 'Poco Red' prefers full sun and moist to average, well-drained, but not overly-dry soil. Good drainage is particularly important in winter.
